As have shared elsewhere, my favorite pieces published on this platform are mostly the un-distributed ones (with the exception of two). In writing them, I had no delusions of quickly gathering for them an audience. When I came here to write just as the series of lockdowns all over the world was beginning, what I had in mind was devoting an online space for pieces I intend to later collect into a book, or books. Online, because the possibility of them being read by even just one other person is enough to terrify and excite me, to create in me a pressure of intense self-consciousness.

Before I proceed with the rest of this story, for anyone who might fancy reading my self-selected pieces, here are a few. All are written as “lyrical prose.”
