Dear Shruthi, I’m not sure if this will make you feel better. You began in September 2020 and earning more compared to me, who started earlier, in April 2020. In the past two months, I finally earned more than 10 dollars. Before that, it was just 2–3 dollars a month. Almost all my pieces are curated, but they usually only get 10–20 or so reads. I got featured once, it earned me just 7 dollars for about 100 reads. So you’re doing pretty well, compared to me at least. But I agree that with the effort we put into our work here, the financial returns don’t seem to be worth it. I got 100% curation of 14 articles last May but got none of the two bonuses.

We write for our own soul’s joy foremost; the money may or may not come. But regardless of how much you earn, you are a fantastic writer.
